FTP path not working

Hi,
Why can't I connect to my working ftp at
192.168.1.20/../media/hdd/movie/

It is a dreambox and the app "ftp on the go" can connect to it.

update: I can connect to specific file via URL:
ftp://root@192.168.1.20/../media/hdd/movie/20110420 - NHL_ Chicago Blackhawks-Vancouver Canucks.ts
But can't setup a server.

Sorry I can't but I think I know what the problem is:
I can connect to ftp://192.168.1.20 but then I end up in a empty "root" folder. I need to go up one level from where to find any content but that I can't.
So that's why I need to connect to ftp://192.168.1.20/../ because that is where all the folders are. When I am trying to connect to this I can't.

Is that the problem, that Oplayer cant handle a ftp-server with a path in it?
As I said I can stream directly from a file within a subfolder of ftp://192.168.1.20/../

Is this to any help to you? Would appreciate if you can help me solve this issue.

Currently not support path in the server address.
why don't you just set the above level path as root path??

I can't change root folder on my dreambox.
Is it possible for you to add the possibility to add a path to ftp-servers?
Or a chance for me to go up on level from /root/-folder...
