Chromecast suport (or lack of)

OPlayer plays almost any file formats in your iDevice, no need to spend several hours to convert your videos.

Chromecast suport (or lack of)

Postby Bouncy73 » Tue Jan 24, 2017 3:15 pm

oPlayer Hd for iPad states that it supports chromecast, yet, it doesn't really. When you enable it, it says you're 'casting', yet video continues showing on iPad and nothing on the TV.

You keep releasing updates that claim 'chromecast improvements' - What does this mean, since the feature DOESN'T WORK?

WTH?

Bloody hell, what a useless and unhelpful answer!

I know that everything's got limitations. But I didn't say that 'some' videos, it's all of them, and they are mp4's. Just remove the reference from the app's description, it is misleading and FALSE!

have you checked the file detail page in OPlayer: what's the codec of the mp4 file?
if the codec is supported by chrome cast, and still not works, can you share us the file by dropbox so we can test it here?(share to olimsoft@gmail.com)

The coded for the mp4s is H.264. Is that not supported?
Mkv's also don't work. H.264 also.

Just admit that the feature doesn't work and that you are purposely making me waste my time.

Rather than you making me work, you just name ONE current popular video format that is CERTAINLY supported by oPlayerHD, one that you have personally tested and that works.

Chromecast works now and again for me. It definitely needs some improvements.
