Subtitles - srt - do they need to by UTF-8?

Postby noguchif » Mon May 02, 2011 5:48 pm

I'm trying before buying. my .srt subtitle files do not work with the lite version of OplayerHD for iPad. Questions: 1) will they work once I purchase the "official" version? 2) do I have to change them to UTF-8 or can they be ANSI (Windows Default)? Thanks, Fernando

it should supports srt well, also lite version I think.

you just need to choose correctly encoding method according to your srt file, or convert your srt file to utf-8 and using the default encoding method.
