Streaming from computer?

I want to stream a movie from my computer to 3GS. I tried URL opening with http://192.168.0.101 but I've got nothing. I'm on the same wifi and behind router. Is there any solution?

you need to input the full URL of the movie, such as http://192.168.0.101/xxx.avi.

Unfortunately no success.
I put the avi to C: root in my winchester and typed what you wrote, but after about 30 seconds it gives back the input page.

Wouldn't you need to run a media server on the pc your trying to stream from? Then you can use the filepath method but might need to inclue :port# at the end.

Should I need to run a media server? I didn't find any mention to it.

You can try to download apache for windows and have a try, it is a web server, you can use it to host your files.

I have succeeded in connecting to my NAS at last, as a samba server.
But when choosing a file I can't stream it, only download it?
Am I doing something wrong or can't I stream the movie?
