oplayeropenurl:// - more protocols?

OPlayer plays almost any file formats in your iDevice, no need to spend several hours to convert your videos.

oplayeropenurl:// - more protocols?

Postby scherii » Thu Dec 09, 2010 6:56 pm

Hi,

just bought this awesome player!

Is there any way to directly open a video file within safari with the oplayer:// protocol? do I have to use another protocol like oplayeropenurl:// or something?
When i change the protocol from http:// to oplayer:// the player will open, but it doesn't play the video.

Greets from Switzerland,

Thank you, that's awesome! I thought this would be more difficult.

One more thing... ;)
When OPlayer is runnig in the background and I try to open a video-link, it will not play - I have to close OPlayer from the multitasking bar, in this case it works like a charm!

Only if the OPlayer is playing music when you open the link, it will not work. [iphone version]

On my iPad (iOS 4.2.1) when the player (OPlayer HD) is running, playing a video-file via oplayer:// is not possible, the only thing that happens is that the player will open at its last state.
Haven't tried that on my iPhone 4 because I only use OPlayer on the iPad.

I check on updates almost twice a day :)
I've checked it on another iPad – same problem.

We will double check it, if it is a bug, we will fix it in the next release.
thanks for your info.

I checked last night.... When oplayer is already running/resident the oplayer://http:// url only opens oplayer again invoking the new url,
you need to confirm this before oplayer starts playing. if oplayer is not resident it opens and starts playing the correct url straight away.
Is there a way to prevent oplayer being resident? We like to use oplayer from a webpage/application which feeds in the correct url's so
we can stream satbox (dreambox).....

regards,

Paul

Thanks for your info, i think reopen the app that invoked OPlayer will be a good choice.
