Inconsistent Samba Client

OPlayer's Samba client doesn't always connect to all Windows 7 machines on my home network. It doesn't even always connect to thevsame machine consistently. In desperation, I even installed Windows 7's FTP service, made sure I could reach it from another iPad client (GoodReader), and tried connecting with. OPlayer -with no success.

Actually, that's on the iPad. I also have th eiPhone version, and it consistently connects to nothing.

We have tested with Mac build-in samba/FTP server. and also with Filezilla(windows platform)

You haven't tested against a normal windows file share?

I downloaded/installed FileZilla server on my Windows machine. I can connect to it from a PC FTP client, but with OPlayer I get a "Failed to connect" message.

please check your iPhone's network connection, as we have tested with Filezilla.

and can i know what you have input in OPlayer? password/user is no needed.

I think I found the problem. OPlayer doesn't like special characters (for example, "@") in passwords. An anonymous login worked, as did a login with a simple password. Can you check to see if that happens for you as well?

I may have spoken too soon. It appears to only want to do anonymous FTP logons, not authenticated ones.

I just installed filezilla, and tested ok in window 7/vista.

Even when an anonymous account isn't set up and the password had an @ symbol in it?
