SRT Encoding/Streaming

Postby sirraen » Wed Dec 22, 2010 1:15 am

Hi guys,

I realise this is a topic that's been rehashed a bit, but I'm not overly tech savvy. I've renamed my .srt file to the same as the movie (I'm assuming it's just the file name that needs to match, not the extension), but still can't seem to get it to play. Should the srt file just play automatically when I go to watch the movie?

It's an english sub file, but not sure what stream and encode i should be selecting. I'm sure it's probably a super easy (and obvious) answer.

Yeah, I know, I'm a total n00b, but I'm trying to load movies on for a lucky deaf relative who is receiving an iPad for christmas, so any prompt help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

For the srt file, you need to choose correctly encoding method of your srt file.
or just convert the srt file to UTF-8 and using the default encoding method.

For the sub subtitle, currently only supports "spu" codec.
