hello,

does the airplayer support goflex home. if so, how do i configure it under settings? do i put in the ip address of the goflex ip? tried but with no avail over internet connection.

if they connects to the same network, and enabled upnp in the nas.
airplayer should auto detect it.

I am able to see the Goflex Home locally but cannot get it configured for remote access??

Have you followed the steps in the server's detail page[when you access the server in the local network, click the arrow after the server name]?

Yes, here are the details

here is the internal link that was auto mapped by the app

http://LocalIP:8200/rootDesc.xml

I opened the 8200 port on my linksys and used the public ip address and this config but cannot get it to work

http://PublicIP:8200/rootDesc.xml

with the username and password setup on the drive and have had no luck.


Any ideas??

Can you get the xml, when you use http://PublicIP:8200/rootDesc.xml in safari from outside?

That means you haven't done port mapping correctly, you need some technical friends to help you do the port mapping.
