Failing to connect my Ipod with WirelessMediaStore (CH3WNAS)

Postby Jojasje » Fri May 18, 2012 3:13 pm

On my Ipod touch I try to connect with the WirelessMediaStore (CH3WNAS), using the app Airplayer.
I succeed to connect with my notebook. I even can play the files of my notebook on the Ipod.
I fail to connect with the CH3WNAS. Sometimes I immidiately get the following message:
http://192.168.1.12:64735/

If You want to externally acces this device, you should do these:
1. Do the port mapping (192.168.1.12:64735) to (public IP:64735) in your router

2. Add the device description url with the public mannually

Other times I can see the folders Music, Video and Photo. But when I try to open the folders it says:"Failed to receive content list, please check the server settings".

Wich server settings do I have to check.
I suppose the settings of my router are ok because I can connect with my Notebook. I looked at the settings of my WirelessMediaStore (CH3WNAS) but I've got no idea what to change.

Any idea how I can manage to play my files from the CH3WNAS on my Ipod???

Is there any settings to add shared media files?

I guess you mean in the settings of the WirelesssMediaStore?
I can't find something called sharing files
I only found: UPnP AV SERVER
(The CH3WNAS has a built-in UPnPAV media server that can be used with UPnP AV compatible media players.
Enable or Disable the UPnP AV Server
.)

I enabled it. So I don't think I have to change something there.

Any Idea what the problem is?

That error is always because you haven't setup shared files in your server side.
