Setup to access Linkstation/Twonky server via web

Postby coops74 » Sun Jan 02, 2011 12:37 pm

I have just purchased Airplayer for my iphone and am really happy with it when accessing from the LAN. Can anyone advise how to setup a server manually for access away from home wifi point?

I have tried a few different combinations but no luck.

I am have a Buffalo Linkstation that comes with built in Twonky media server.

You can input the URL in iPhone's safari app to see whether you can get a xml file?
this test makes sure you have input correctly in AirPlayer.

I think port 9000 is used by linkstation webaccess applicaiton. Could that be causing the issue.

By browsing to http://ip address:9000 this brings up the linkstation webaccess pages.
