Setting up Remote Access for WD TV Live Hub via Twonky

Postby prsnkrsna » Fri Mar 07, 2014 8:32 pm

I have spent hours trying to get Airplayer to work remotely with my WD TV Live Hub but it just doesn't seem to work.

It works seamlessly when i am on the network but for some reason doesn't recognize it when i try it with LTE on my iPhone.

Here is what i have done so far.

1) I have opened Port Forwarding for port 9000 in TCP. (Do i need to change anything with my firewall?)

2) Put in the twonky remote access description http://Static IP:9000/TMSDeviceDescription.xml

I tried it with and without the TMS and it still doesn't seem to work.

Is there something i am missing here? Could someone please provide me a step by step setup for this? I am kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff.

If it helps i have an Asus RT-AC66U router and I am trying to connect to my WD TV Live HUB 2TB through Twonky Media Server to iPhone and iPad.

Thanks in advance!
