We haven't got a synology, so can't help you on this, maybe you can ask help in synology's support forum :-)

This is also not working on WRT610n. Has anyone tried adding twonky media manually on WRT610n?

How do you add a Windows 7 server manually?

Also, how do you add a TVersity server manually? I don't have the pro version so I doubt it works on my iPhone 4 but I can try.

I am trying to stream over the Internet to my iPhone 4.

Hi.

Im using Orb on my PC ( windows xp ). when I connect using my home WiFi ( iPhone 4 ) everything works ok.
When I try to access trought my 3G, it dosent work. I have open and directed all these ports 1093,15899,11026,49190 to the pc and still its not working ( play ).
details: When I try to connect using my 3G on port 49190, I cant see the orb server. When I use 1093 ( same as when im connected to my WiFi ) I can see the server, and I can see the list of shered info. When I try to play music or video, nothing happens. The palyer opens and it looks like its downloading, but nothing happens. When I set the software to play using QuickTime, again, nothing happens and I cant even see if its downloading.

Please advice.

Some media server by default not support over internet access, as UPnP is a local network protocol.

Next update, we will support more servers over the internet.

I don't know whether the UUID changes every time you restart your server. but when AirPlayer detect it in the local network, click the detail button, you can get the device description URL, then replace the ip with your media server's public IP.

Synology NAS server use following address URL:

Make sure you have correct port forwarding (50001). Maybe it will be useful to setup some more ports:50002 and UDP 1900.
