Add the device mannually

Postby olehoang » Tue Jul 19, 2011 11:40 pm

I'm trying to add the device mannually. The instruction "add the device description URL with the public IP mannually". So I look up my IP which is 193.168.15.3. In the airplayer app device list "add" http://192.168.15.3:9000/DeviceDescription.xml. The message that I got still "Unknown Media Server". Any suggestion?

Have you replaced the ip with your route's public ip? Does that mean by accessing the wireless router 192.168.1.1 admin, password and go to port forwarding and mannually input to 169.254.190.20:9000

You need to add "http://169.254.190.20:9000/DeviceDescription.xml" in AirPlayer if 169.254.190.20 is your route's public ip,
and in your route port forward 169.254.190.20:9000 to 192.168.15.3:9000
