Quicktime setting not working

Postby xiphias256 » Sat Feb 12, 2011 7:44 pm

I've got a DNLA service running on my Linux machine (Serviio) and I'm able to serve Video to my iPad.
But if I enable the Quicktime option, the videoplayback never starts. It looks like it's going to start, then it exits back to the filelist menu and tries to start again. Looping over and over.

The video I'm trying to play is 720p h.264 mkv files.

Streaming 720p files works without the quicktime option, but it's slow and it drops alot of frames. The audio is also out of sync.
I guess 720p files is to hard for the iPad to display without some HW acceleration that Quicktime is supposed to give.

I get the same issue when trying to access a humax Freesat box running twonky media server. I try to play a .ts file and the same thing happens, if I copy that file to my western digital my book world 2 running twonky media server it plays perfectly.
