AirPlayer DLNA via Internet - NoGo

Postby valentinik_15 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:10 pm

Hi,

I can't seem to play my media files on my Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo using AirPlayer when I'm connected outside my home network using the internet, I can only see the files but can't play them. I don't have this problem when I'm connected via home network. It's quite a bummer as I purchased this app just so I can play my files over the internet.

Equipment.
Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo
IP address port forwarded to 9050/DeviceDescription.xml
iPad 2
Airport Extreme Router

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there any resolution?

Thanks for your expertise!

Hi,
What exactly do you need from me. Will the URL to the DeviceDescription.xml suffice?

Thanks. The problem is solved. I needed to use port 9050 for both the external and internal port.

Cheers!
