How to Download/Stream from WINDOWS platform share folders

OPlayer plays almost any file formats in your iDevice, no need to spend several hours to convert your videos.

Does anyone have the issue where connecting to Windows computer that nothing shows up in the list? Any idea why?

I am using iPad on the same local network as the Windows 7 computer and I have no problem accessing the shares using another App in my iPad.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Also does OPlayer supports hidden shares?

Thanks

Streaming over samba shares stopped working as soon as I upgraded my ipad to ios 5.0. The app just hangs when i try to connect; it used to work fine. Is there a fix?

No samba server works in ios 5.0 that I've tried: standard Windows shares, samba shares on my mac, even Linux. As I said, OPlayer connected just fine to these shares in ios 4.3, so I know there's nothing special on the server side. Have you tried OPlayer on ios 5.0?

Postby cyao517 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 2:19 am

I have already done this,

1)Click "+" in the navigation bar of File tab
2)Input IP of your WINDOWS PC
3)Input the User name and Password of your WINDOWS PC
4)Select SAMBA

But how or where can i have a Share Folders to OPlayer?

"Then you can download/stream files from your WINDOWS share folders to OPlayer."
