Airplayer unusable when off-line

Postby znelbok » Tue Sep 13, 2016 9:52 pm

I have been using AirPlayer for quite a few years now (since I purchased my iPad 2) and its been the later versions that have had this problem now.

We are not connected to the internet all the time - mostly never due to very poor internet and tiny tiny data caps. AirPlayer is now trying to phone home when it plays every song and this causes the player to stop for up to a minute before it eventually times out and plays the next song.

This makes it virtually unusable without an internet connection.

Can you please explain why you believe an internet connection is needed and can this "feature" be removed in the next version.

It also begs the question - what data are you collecting (if any) from me when it does phone home?
